On Sunday 24th February a district swimming carnival was held in celebration of Founders Day.
Wearne Bay, Alfords Point/Menai, Bangor joined us as did the beautiful weather and what a day we had. Great competition & great fun. Who knew we had such talent in the pool & who was that mini Borat? The cubs and scouts did us proud and made it to the end of the pool using an interesting variety of techniques. The parent/leaders race was quite competitive and only minimal resuscitation was required afterwards. Thank goodness it was only 25 metres! A very successful day with Lucas Heights coming 2nd overall in the carnival.
A big BRAVOOO goes out to Wearne Bay who won the event.
A HUGE thank you to Rama & organising committee for putting on a brilliant carnival & special mention to the ladies on the official desk for their tireless efforts and The Pethybridges for the sausage sizzle.
See you all there next year.
